Before we left Agra, Louise and I made a foray out in an auto-rickshaw to look for Malaria drugs and stopped at this local pharmacy in Agra's version of a roadside strip mall. It was hot and the man in the front of the picture has carried his sleeping pallet outside to catch some of the breeze.

On Friday night, after we got back from Agra, the teachers had an alumni dinner with some of the students from previous programs.

The Delhi Train Station.

Our first class car to Chandigarh - air conditioning was one of the perks.

Our breakfast on the train. Tea is served everywhere and Masala Tea has become a favorite of mine.

We stopped at a lovely hotel for lunch.

We are up in the mountains now! The view was fantastic but I was beginning to wish the roads were not so winding.

And then it started to rain. We were held up here while they removed the rubble from a landslide. At this point I was incredibly happy not to be moving on the winding roads. I'm fairly sure relief showed in my green complexion.

About 4:30 AM - the view outside my room at the Oberoi-Clarkes Hotel in Shimla. I was glad to have survived the night and find myself on solid ground in a beautiful mountain side community. We are at about 7700 feet.

Apparently I wasn't the only one up.
